Friendship Lunch Group: 1st Graders

Over the last 5 weeks I have been meeting with a group of first graders during lunch once a week.  Our focus has been on getting to know each other better and developing friendship skills.  On our first meeting I explained the purpose of our group and rules about confidentiality.  We played "Get To Know You" Jenga to learn more about each of us and practice taking turns and listening skills.  During the following meetings we dived deeper into what we want in a friend, what we bring to the table as a friend, and which social interactions are friendly or dangerous.  The following are some pictures from activities we worked on together.
