Teamwork in Kindergarten

To expand on the story, we discussed what cooperation means.  Each of us has unique skills and when we combine these traits we can accomplish so much together.  However, cooperation also means that we have to give and take.  We might all have ideas we want to try out, but we can't always get our way.  Sometimes we have to compromise and listen to others.

Each group only received one piece of large paper with unlimited crayons.  Together, they talked about a plan and decided who was responsible for what in their drawing.  Obviously, some groups worked easier together than others, but as I circulated throughout the room I was able to process uncomfortable feelings that came up and validate what they were going through.  Below are a few of the beautiful illustrations that were created.
