I've got BIG PLANS, BIG PLANS I say

In first grade we read Big Plans written by Bob Shea & Lane Smith.  This book takes us through the imagination of a young boy who has some "big plans" for the future.  He meets with various leaders and he demands for his ideas to get completed.  It is a hilarious view of the world as a playground where anything can happen if we dream it up.

After the story, I introduced our "big challenge" for today.  I gave each student an ABC chart and asked them to think of one career that starts with each letter to fill each box.  This was a great activity to sum up and reflect on our month of career lessons.
